Got to Bellingham two nights ago. Rode Baker yesterday?dick deep and blasting?and today?partly cloudy or “baker bluebird”, as they say. NOAA has issued a Winter Storm Warning. It’s active tomorrow until 4 pm. Calling for 1-2 feet of snow. And 100 percent chance of precipitation for the next week.
Sore and stretching. Ready for more.

SNOW REPORT
Most Recent Update:
Wednesday Nov. 19: Things are looking up! After talking with our super weather forecasters, it looks like we could have 16 - 24 inches of snow on the ground at the ski area by Monday afternoon. At that point we will be able to reassess the forecasted incoming weather for mid-next week and the possibility of opening during the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend.
The storm fronts forecasted for this Thursday and Friday look strong and we should get a fair amount of snow, so keep the faith!
Remember. . . .we need approximately 20-36 inches of snow on the ground before we can start things up for the season.

Bellingham

Outside Bellingham looking West: This is the view from the bike path that runs along the water from downtown to Fairhaven. I rode my buddies bike along this trail on the days I didn’t snowboard. The skinny tires on his 10-speed made the wet gravel path kinda treacherous. I have some great friends who live there. We used to live together but went different directions last winter. It was good to hang again, as the season was starting. We caught up, ate pizza, drank beer, wine, coffee and tea in their little house while it stormed outside. The windows rattled all night from the wind. It rained hard and snowed every night in the mountains. That’s when I decided I’d move there at some point and ride Baker every day, all winter.
